Great Books Preschoolers Will Enjoy

What’s better than books when it comes to the learning and development of your child? Research has shown that reading books out loud to children during their early stages helps stimulate their imagination. It helps them understand the world better, improves their communication skills, and creates a sense of confidence and curiosity in them.

Here’s a list of 5 great books every preschooler will enjoy:

1. The Very Hungry Caterpillar-

This is an all-time favorite and classic picture book every child should read. It is the tale of a caterpillar that eats his way to evolve into a butterfly. The book is beautifully illustrated for children and it’s filled with simple counting, various types of food, and a surprise at the end.  

2. Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What do you see?

For many children, it turns out to be the first book that teaches them how to read. The book is full of pictures that support the text, which helps children read. It also helps your child understand and learn different colors at an early stage. 

3. The Way I Feel

Identifying and understanding one’s feelings is never an easy task. It is a picture book that talks about the different emotions that kids experience. This book plays an important role in teaching children about feelings and how to address them. 
 
4. The Three Little Pigs

Every child loves a good story, and The Three Little Pigs is a perfect fable for young children. It is about three pigs who make three houses from different materials, and when the big wolf comes, only the pig with the brick house is able to protect them all. It is a very moralistic story for young children to learn and think about. 

5. Good Night, Gorilla

This is a great book to help your child learn new words. It has a comical and interesting storyline that also helps children build vocabulary.
