First School of the Desert provides a kindergarten curriculum that lends itself to a common-sense approach to learning.  It provides drill and repetition in a variety of ways which ensures good learning.   Reading is given a great deal of importance in the curriculum.  Phonics is employed as the most logical and orderly way to teach the children to read.  The curriculum also provides for a variety of correlated material to be integrated throughout the children's day. Our aim at First School of the Desert is to create a well-rounded child and to provide an environment "Where learning is fun!"
